Default Medevac helicopters servicing ulster county

I'm looking for some help getting info on medevac helicopters servicing Ulster county for my radio feed. I currently have 155.265 Albany LifeNet Dispatch - Tone 162.2 PL - Call Sign KWI712 which I was told had changed. A FCC search found 155.235 Albany Med Flight - Tone (Not Provided) - Call Sign KNN624. I know that LifeNet 7-1 is dispatched off this frequency. I've also noticed that Air 2 seems to be the one that primarily covers Ulster county however I do not know any of their dispatch info.

If anyone has info as to which Medevac helicopters service Ulster county and their dispatch info it would be greatly appreciated.

I believe the 2 medevac helicopters from LifeNet NY that cover Ulster county are LifeNet Air 2 out of Newburg and LifeNet 7-5 out of Harris. Still haven't found their frequency info. Also does the NYSP have any medevac helicopters that cover Ulster?

Thanks. I also found this info...

155.385 Lifeguard 17 Dispatch (Newburgh, Orange County) - Tone 77.0 PL - Call Sign UNKNOWN, Mobile Life Support Services EMS / Lifeguard Medevac Helicopter Dispatch (Dutchess County) - Tone 77.0 PL - Call Sign WPLX744

I guess the search continues. I emailed airmethods last night so hopefully I'll hear something back.

Do you know if Ulster is using the Hackensack UMC helicopter based out of Greenwood Lake Airport or the Atlantic Air helicopter based out of Mountain Creek, New Jersey?

I know Orange County is using both now in addition to LifeNet and State Police

#1 you will not get an answer from them, they will not give that info out. Lifeguard 17 and 18 are the call signs for the ships and they are NYS Police helicopters that have MLSS Paramedics on them. They are paged out by MLSS and come up on the frequency after liftoff to the assigned frequency by the county. LifeNet (STATFLIGHT) air 2 comes out of an airport in Wallkill Ulster County, forgot the name of the airport, they use 468.000 and 463.000 for their comms. They can be very busy during the summer months and you will hear them on there when they are enroute to the hospital and dispatched as well. LifeNet 75 is out of Harris. Chances are unless you live real close you wont hear a dispatch as they usually use a landline since they are dispatched from their main office somewhere in the mid west, but you will hear them on the county channels after they are assigned by the county when they come up on the county main channel for assignment. Keep the dispatch and response channels for county fd in your banks and scan them, you will hear them. I live in Middletown and hear them alot. There is also a website from a guy in PA. that has all the info you will need for medivacs on most of the east coast. Here is the link, Air Medical Programs in Pennsylvania and Surrounding StatesYou will also see medevacs from PA and NJ from time to time depending how busy it gets. I have seen copters from Penn State in orange and sullivan county a few times.

This may be helpful to some.

Here's my listing for New York Medevac services (MS Word format) along with a (usd) programming file for Uniden scanners.

The programming file has been renamed as a .txt file so it will upload here.

To use it with Uniden programming software or to import it into FreeScan, rename it back to .usd

Rich

I'd appreciate any updates.

LifeNet of Albany is 155.235 like previously posted. DCS of 432. That is Dispatch for Lifenet 7-1 based at Albany Med.(I have heard them in Kingston before), Lifenet 7-2 in Glen, NY and Lifeguard 12 based at Albany International airport. Lifeguard 12 is a NYSP helo with medical staff onboard. I have heard them in Ulster county a few times before.

FYI - LifeNet 75 is dispatched by AirCom on 460.8875 (D343). It is a full duplex repeater. I have heard this referred to as the Liberty or Harris tower. Air 2 operates here frequently as well.

I found this while attending a concert at Bethel Woods just scanning around. It was full scale up there. I hear it a solid S3-4 down home in Monroe.

Have fun with this.

I know 155.385R comes off Beacon, but where are the "East" and "West" towers for Lifenet Air 2? If I recall at one time it came off Beacon as well...

Atlantic Air One flys out of Great Northern Helistop in Netcong. They only fuel/service in Morristown.

Hackensack was/is using MotoTRBO for internal communications.
