Default White Plains Police Department-Westchester County, NY

Hi guys/gals....a friend of mine that lives in The City Of White Plains New York in Westchester County advised me that he can no longer hear the police on 460.400/460.425. Does anyone on here know if they moved frequencies to narrow banding and if so...have they gone P-25?
Thanking all of our great group of members and hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

Bob

Default White Plains PD

When listening to their frequency, it sounds like they have gone digital. In fact, one of the listings here on R/R in the frequency database now lists one of the the frequencies as digital. I guess I will have to get a digital scanner at work now.

Yes, they are using P25 now. 460.425 was updated in the database last week. I have not yet confirmed 460.400, working on it.

HQ transmits on 460.4000 analog and 460.4250 digital at the same time
I have a feeling F1 460.4000 will go digital soon

It's amazing to me that the database is the backbone of this website, and yet no one seems to bother to actually look at it before asking questions like this. The NAC has been in the database for a full week already.

Well...... Thank you very much, we all are not perfect. I guess this attitude is one reason I no longer supply any info.

Default White Plains Police-P-25(What Do I Do Now?)

Your options are to get a Uniden Bearcat BCD-996XT (P-25). I do feel that streaming audio has effected scanner sales throughout the country and now Smart Cell Phones including my sons has police/fire on it.
With that being said...I hope you have a happy and Health New Year.

Ron...your 100% right on your last comments......some guys are like a bunch of babies on here and think people have the time to constantly look up data bases. Is this a police departmen( Military Outfit) or a social (Click) club? Lets all grow up guys for once and for all! I personally know a few police departments that would love P-25 streaming audio REMOVED from here(Westchester County, NY) but I won't act like a girl!! It should also be known that I am NOT against women but do hate the b/s on here lately. Get a life....people that have to whine on here 24/7 as it is starting to get sickening. A club like this is amazing and imagine visitors seeing this un-professional nonsense. I am starting to get embarrassed now. This is just food for thought and maybe should be put in a new thread..not on here so if anyone wants to move this posting, that is fine w/ me. I am sure Ron will be on my side on this topic 100% and back me up too.

73's
(Adminstrators--You can remove me BUT then refund my $15.00 for supporting this site too as I am fairly new here and I am NOT a "free-loader")
Thanks in advance and hope everyone has a safe holiday season too.

Default White Plains Goes Digital

Hi -- New here...saw this wondering where all the police/fire calls had gone and did some inquiring.

Bob -- Your friend is correct. I asked a friend on the force and the transition is pretty much complete. Still a few Fire/EMS dispatches over analog, and the County feed into WP is still pinging 460.4000 and 453.5000. They had already cancelled the stream used by TuneIn Radio and other apps.

Default Suggestions To Replace White Plains Police

one11sgt-- I would put in Bronxville, Tuckahoe in addition to Scarsdale Police since they are on the same frequency except Eastchester has their own frequency and would like to see that on too. Personaly, I feel that all P-25 Police Departments should NOT be on the site as many cops I know have spoken to me about this and one particular city would love it removed and I would tell you that in a PM. Do you have CTCSS/DCS on your audio feed scanner?
Hope to hear back as I too am tired of the b/s on here especially with one NYState Data Base Adminstrator that has still yet to PM me. Sorry everyone else on here.....just a point I am trying to make.
Happy Holidays to everyone!

Hi Sir--I do NOT think White Plains Fire is going to go digital too. Has that ben confirmed yet?
Also welcome to this Radioreference.com group of amazing guy/gals for the most part. You will find some non-sense on here too from time to time and you can sort that all out.
Have a nice Holiday Season. You live only 6 miles North of me.

Happy Holidays to everyone!
Bronxville and Tuckahoe are streamed also. There is no pl active. I am too far from them to receive the cars as they are simplex so I do not include their agency names in the feed, but u can hear HQ for both towns. Ive added the MTA police to this feed who are also simplex but at least at times you may hear the cars also depending on their proximity to me.
As far as agencies wanting their feeds removed, we all know this is all completely legal and they dont have any ground to stand on. That being said, I would honor any request from an agency I stream to remove them out of respect if asked.

Well I have a digital scanner and still no dispatch. Sorry for being such a newb -- if i should post this elsewhere, I will do so. It's supposed to pick up analog and digital signals and replaces my decade old Bearcat. Thanks.
