Russia Corners... 3 miles from Poland NY
Sr. Dispatcher for Herkimer County.
Assistant Chief for Poland Vol. Fire Co. Inc.
Ham radio (W2RJO) - I'm inactive.
Feed provider - Herkimer County Law, Fire, & EMS

I'm luck enough to be on a nice hill and have a radio tower next to my house so I can hear from Albany to nearly Buffalo on VHF-Hi. Used to be in the two way business and have tons of stuff just sitting in my barn (but I'm slowly getting rid of it).

Take care!

John

I live in Oswego, New York...
I monitor Oswego,Onondaga,Cayuga,Madison,Jefferson, Counties..All are P25 systems except for Jefferson...
I use an outdoor antenna but at times use the antenna that came with the scanner.
I use a Bearcat BCD996XT...It took me a day to figure out how to program the thing but then I remembered reading about programs on Radio Ref that helps you upoload to the scanner..That was really helpful..So with editing it the way I wanted it it worked out GREAT...Happy scanning
