Default Redcross in NYC and CT?

I am wondering if anyone knows if the 47mhz frequency that the red cross is licensed for is still in use for anything in NYC or CT?
I am also looking for any other operational or current frequencies that the red cross may use in the tri state area?

The 47 MHz frequency is a nationwide license. Usually you'll hear activity on that frequency when there are some kind of disaster relief going on. Some Red Cross chapters also work with local ares and races group for communications. I know the chapter for Dutchess and Ulster are on a UHF commercial system for localized ops.

Do you know if they are doing any linking with the 47mhz frequency? or is it contained to the localized area of disaster?

They don't do any linking on the 47mhz freq in my area. In Dutchess we mainly use that freq to talk with other chapters when need be.

Default American Red Cross Frequencies

Hi Everyone: Does anyone know the frequencies besides 47.42/47.60 for American Red Cross based out of New York City, NY? I just sold a scanner to a guy and couldn't seem to find that information on our site.
Thanking you all in advance.

Bob

Gen Scan has a Stickied thread at the top that tells you what and where to post. Regional specific information should be asked in a State forum. I've moved your post to the existing Red Cross thread.
