Default Dutchess County Med Channels

Just FYI sounds like Dutchess County is starting to use the MED regularly. Picked up Traffic on MED 2 463.025 PL of 192.8 and it was repeater operation.

Ignore my last post. What I'm hearing is coming out of CT.

Many Dutchess County EMS units that operate in the Eastern Dutchess area, including NDP, Pine Plains, and Union Vale use the LCD (Litchfield County Dispatch) MED CHANNELS to contact Sharon and New Milford Hospitals. Sharon is on MED 2 and New Milford uses MED 4. Sharon can also be contacted on 155.34 but I believe it is not recorded, so they prefer you use the MED channel.

I knew those depts used LCD's channels. What had happened is I just recently moved, and where I am living now I can pic up LCD on MED 2, and when I heard it I just assumed it was Dutchess.

Thanks for the info.

Default Med Channels

The Med Channels may come back online in Dutchess County in the future, but neither Vassar Brothers or St. Francis have UHF base stations. Vassar's broke almost a decade ago and since they couldn't agree if the hospital or county was responsible for it, it went bye bye. St. Francis' Med radio disappeared with the ED renovations.

The Dutchess County system uses Med 1 & Med 3 in Poughkeepsieas well as Med 7 off Clove Mtn. The DC EMS Advisory Board had recently discussed the possibility of obtaining new UHF equipment for the hospitals, but it's still up in the air.
