Default FDNY UHF vs VHF

Was there a change to only using UHF in the last week? I shipped back my 536hp for a replacement and now that the replacement is here I noticed reception isn't as great for dispatch. I recall mostly receiving VHF in the past but I get hits on UHF that are scratchy at best.

Funny how that works. Whenever I go to the city I stay in NJ right across the river. Some boroughs come in better on uhf and vice versa.
