Default FDNY "Yellow thing" attached to portable holsters

Can anyone tell me what this "yellow thing" - for lack of a better term - is, attached to the holster?

That's the ultraradiac radiation detector and dosimeter
Carried by all ems and fire officers.
Each firefighter has one but kept in a case on the rig until needed.

All EMTs carry XTS5000 and firefighters carry XTS3500

There were some talks that FDNY will be testing the APX7000 but I haven't heard anything for a while

Lots of folks make those. I purchase mine from RadioTech and 5-Alarm Fronts.
