FDNY Subway Ch1

This frequency [460.575] has had a carrier on for many months now. It's strongest in the down town Brooklyn and down town Manhattan area. Anyone who can get the word to the FDNY radio shop to check it out would end this problem. The proper PL tone is present, but it's low power.

There is a transmitter in each station that is independent of the next station. If you have an idea about what station it might be, I could pass along the info.

No, other than the general area I mentioned, I can't. It could be a great project for the rookie in the radio shop to tackle!

The Subway Repeater system is under the Public Transportation Safety Unit. I don't think the FDNY radio shops really gets involved with it too much, someone reason I think it is MTA or DOITT who does the repairs.
