MotTRBO DMR in NYC area?

Hi Folks,

Does anyone know how good the MotTRBO coverage is in the Manhattan area? Also, what features of it work, i.e. text messages, digital data and/or tower transfers? I'm considering picking up one of the Motorola models, however would like to know what are overkill features given the amateur network of repeaters today.

Use the link below and zoom in on NYC. You will see various "pins". Click on pin and it will give you the details for programing that repeater into your radio. They are all ham repeaters.

The site mcscanner listed has lots of great info, but the details on the repeaters are more accurate in the site I listed.

I know the K2MAK repeater on the Empire state building covers pretty well. The Bronx (N2NSA) covers pretty good as well
