NYC BCD436HP users: How do you set up your 436?

I just moved to a 436 from a 396 and with the favorites list, this adds a new level of organization. With the 396, I would have something like System 1->NYPD->Precincts and CW, System 2->NYFD->dispatch, tac, ems and System 3->PAPD->jfk, lga, ewr, bridges, etc

All of these would have corresponding Quick Keys.

Seems like you could have an entire regional database in one Favorites list with the 436: NYPD, NYFD, PAPD, Doitt, etc

Or Favorite list 1 has only dispatch and Favorite list 2 has only Tac?

I guess it's totally open how you program it.

I have a Home Patrol 2 which is somewhat similar to the 436. I have a Favorites list with NYPD and a separate list for FDNY. If I only want to hear a certain borough, for example NYPD Brooklyn precincts, I just turn on the NYPD Favorites list and then lock on the NYPD Brooklyn department. It really all just depends on your listening habits.

I came from a br330t and set up my 436 the same as my 330. I took everything from my 330 and put it in 1 favorites list. That way all the quick keys were the same and I would not have to learn any new numbers to listen to my systems.

Just a minor point...

Line 33 should read NYS DEC / NYC DEP as they are two seperate and distinct agencies at two different levels of government.
