Anyone hear any updates on when fire and law enforcement may be moving on to this system? I know the game plan is fire first and then LE. Have any new time targets been established?

No inside information, but the original target dates were 2016 and 2017, right?
When I first heard about the new system, I figured that LE would move to it eventually, but I guess I didn't realize their goal was that soon. Of course I also thought, "didn't they just change to digital" but that was in January 2010, right?!?
I believe the article linked in another related thread stated that there was grant money for the EMS agencies to buy new radios, but I haven't seen anything about the fire departments also getting money, and that will obviously be a barrier.
And they need to finish EMS first ... the rigs are moved, but the base stations and dispatcher are not.
