Nice one and thanks for sharing. I've been starting my own collection of DMR and NXDN Busincess frequencies in the NYC area.

No problem. I forgot to add the color codes. If you need them, PM.

The World Of Digital

Yep, after playing around with the AOR DV1 for several months, I see that there is a world of digital traffic going on, not just on the 440 amateur radio band, but on the "business band" frequencies as well. I recognize some of the frequencies that you posted RayAir; others I will have to program in and take a listen to. I have not pinned down any that are used for primary PD traffic--- some in your list are used more by security forces, such as NYU campus security, hospital security, etc

The DV1 does not to trunking, and it appears that some of the frequencies are part of trunked systems that are in operation. Hopefully, as more folks tune into DMR, NXDN, and other digital traffic, the RR databases will begin to fill up with more interesting frequencies to listen to.

As you mentioned in your post, there is so much traffic out there, that it's difficult to find the time to listen to and log it all. Thanks for the great head's up with those frequencies RayAir.

Yeah I've been using a Surface Pro 2 with Airspy running SDR# and DSD+ and this makes a terrific digital decoding receiver. If I ever get another DMR portable (don't have one now), I'd like to enter these as well as ham for monitoring.

464.5875 actually comes back to Delta Airlines for apparently a TRBO trunk system at JFK airport ULS License - Industrial/Business Pool, Trunked License - WPMI703 - Delta Air Lines Inc.

This is one thats a mystery to me - 452.8625
I started monitoring it because its supposedly a MTA freq but all i have got on there so far was TRBO with a CC of 7 group 1681001 and it sounded like some type of building maintenance
Im in Nassau cty and that freq seemed like its a bit distant but im not sure what direction its coming from...

So what kind of equipment are you guys using? I understand there are some computer programs that you can use to decipher digital traffic.

I just used a tapped 668, DSD+ 2.5, and a Motorola SL 7550.

I have more resources at home, but the above is my travel kit.

I prefer the SL for travel since it is more covert.
Everything fits nicely into my laptop size briefcase.
TSA has never gave my bag a second look. The only time I had security do additional checks was when I went to the new WTC observation deck. I had to take my briefcase with me b/c I got to Manhattan at 10a and couldn't check in to my hotel room until 3p.

Anyway, they just looked at my cables , SL7550, and then the BNC scanner antenna, asking me what it was. They asked me if I would be using any of that for filming and I said no and they let me on my way up.

Connect Systems makes a CS750 DMR portable and CS800 DMR mobile. They both have field programming capabilities (although the CPS is easier) and utilize what Connect Systems calls "True Digital Squelch." You just set the radio on a DMR frequency and the radio will tell you the CC, TS and TG info. Works really well from what I hear.

That freq is from Onevoice and on a few occasions, have received it while playing with sdrshsrp and dsd. It came up as site 30 in dsd. I was very surprised I got something that far away. I am in East Islip and not far from the shore, but using indoor homemade ants with an amp. Guess they work good. lol.

Interestingly 471.6625 is also licensed to Cablevision in Suffolk ULS License - Industrial/Business Pool, Conventional License - KXS838 - SAMSON CABLEVISION CORP

Maybe Cablevision is getting in on onevoice also?...

Ok I checked my notes. When this freq came up, it was displaying site 171-30, and that is the Waterford Works Site. Today how ever, I got a few quick hits and its telling me dmr dcc 10. Conversation heard this morning ,,,, tg 9918 rid 1804 & 1816. Sounded like security. Some other tg's are enc.

As for cable on Onevoice. I will say no . There are 2 different systems and the only activity on the link you posted is a transfer of control thats still pending. A company purchased Cablevision last year French telecom giant Altice buys Cablevision in $9.8B sale | New York Post

I know that onevoice is generally run by Atlantic/Norcom and Statcom i think? but being that Cablevision is somewhat a telecom provider in itself i was thinking it could be a possiblity that they would perhaps lease some of the frequencies that they own to a system such as onevoice especially for the fact that the frequencies in question are licensed for DMR...

The cable freqs are licensed for dmr but dsd displays the system info as DMR DCC:10

Onevoice displays sys info as Con+ Site 171-xx DCC: NL:2 8 27

2 different systems on the same freq. Being that Waterford works is in NJ, there may not be any interference.

Just heard a comm saying helo 301 arrived with zero passengers. tg 9918
