I was looking through the FCC database and found this. WQXY389 (Capitol Region Gaming, LLC) FCC Callsign Details

Looks like they have a total of 8 different freqs:
461.40625
463.26875
463.33125
463.59375
463.60625
463.79375
464.1625
464.58125

All have an emission designator of 4K00F1W, which us NXDN 6.25khz digital voice and data (IDAS,NexEdge).

The notes on the application states "Conduct daily security, maintnance, operations of the Casino"

I'm not too far from the casino. I have a TRX-1. Pardon my ignorance but I'm a little green when it comes to a lot of these radio systems and terms. Will we be able to monitor this system provided Whistler ever sends out the NXDN update?

100 watt repeaters. There are matching input frequencies on the license also. Antenna height 26 feet, so you'll probably have to be in Schenectady to hear them.

Interesting some of them are FB2's and some are FB8's......FB2 being your standard repeater......FB8 being a "community" repeater....and with a 85 watt erp i have a feeling they will be heard ok

FB2 ia a standard repeater, and FB8 is trunking. Probably done that way to ensure no one else gets licensed within 50 miles. Some of the frequencies (noticed all the 6.25kc spacing ones are FB8) probably meet the required separation and others did not, and I doubt they need 100 watts for a building or complex at 26 feet, but it gives you an large operating area that then again is a means to ensure no one else get licensed near you.

BTW FB6 is a community repeater.

The FB8s are probably there so the radio shop that is maintaining the casino system can also sell airtime to other customers.

Anyone attempting to monitor these frequencies yet? I've programmed them in conventional into my TRX-1 but have yet to hear any voice transmissions. The casino opens in just over a month.

I'm getting encrypted DMR traffic on 463.5625, which was added to the frequency list since the date of the OP

Since we're talking about new casinos in another thread, it's worth clarifying the WQXY389 license for Rivers Casino.

They have a combination of NXDN trunking and DMR conventional on the same license.

The following frequencies are licensed as part of a NXDN trunked system:
461.40625
463.26875
463.33125
463.59375
463.60625
463.79375
464.58125

While these three are licensed as standalone DMR repeaters:
463.5625
464.1625
464.9750

Thanks for clarifying. I have had all of the frequencies programmed in conventionally in both a TRX-1 & 436HP for some time now. I haven't heard any NXDN traffic yet but have heard a pretty constant amount of encrypted DMR CAP activity on at least two of the repeater frequencies you just mentioned. I will also note that I have heard it quite clearly (clearly encrypted haha) at my camp in Galway. I actually have not heard anything on any of the frequencies that wasn't encrypted.

it appears that the casino freqs are not listed in the database because when I use the rr in my arc500 software I can't find them. Does anyone know ho to program the trunked frequencies?

I have all of the frequencies that you will see in this thread programmed into my TRX-1 as conventional channels and the only activity I have received is on the three DMR frequencies GTR 8000 mentioned and everything I have received has been encrypted.

smp928s, even though everything is encrypted, could you submit your findings anyway? This way at least people who are searching the database have something to reference.

If they are DMR/TRBO repeaters, providing the Color Code, Slot, and Talkgroups you're observing would be ideal, regardless of encryption being used. Thanks!

OK, since all I am hearing is on the DMR side (rather than any NXDN), I can probably set my 536 up to monitor just the casino and log it on Proscan. Would there be a way to share that log? I have never submitted anything on here before. I know that I have seen many different talk groups.

The radio traffic as you can imagine has been pretty constant at all hours of the day and at this point I haven't been monitoring it at all save for a few minutes here or there just checking to see if I hear anything that isn't encrypted. I was really hoping that it wasn't going to be totally encrypted. I don't believe the other casinos owned by the same company are using full encryption.

Right now the only thing up and running is the casino and restaurants. The hotel, condo complex and other various shops they are planning aren't even close I don't believe.

I wonder how they got that one. It is concurrently licensed to Goin Mobile at their Crawford Hill site (WPGM-988). Nowhere near 60 mile spacing. More like 6 miles.
