Does anyone know the frequency of the short alert tone transmitted by dispatch? Would like to try entering it in the BCT-15 to alert for working fires.

Frank probably has more information, but if it's the stock alert tone on old Motorola consoles, it should be either 1,000 or 1,005 Hz. It's probably not very tight tolerance.

I've been told it's around 1100 Hz. It's manually operated so there's no fixed duration.

got it....1000hz on the nose

If only the BCT-15 could monitor multiple frequencies at once for fire tone out. you could just hear all hands and above
