Default Drunken air passenger duct taped to seat

A drunken passenger on a New York-bound flight from Iceland
was duct-taped to his seat by fellow passengers after
attacking one woman, spitting on other passengers and
screaming the plane was going to crash.

I read that and I was happy to see that not only were there people on that plane that had the stones to do this, but also that some airline employee didn't stand in their way.

I also have to wonder where they got the duct tape from.

You always take duct tape and baling wire with you. you never know when they will come in handy.

Duct tape would probably pass okay. Baling wire I'm not so sure about.

Duct tape and baling wire are to an Iceland Air tool kit what a first aid kit is to passengers, emergency in flight repairs.

What do you do if you look out the window of the plane and notice it has parts held on with duct tape?

Default +1 with MMCKENNA in his post!

With the airline employees not interferring with the job to be done by the passengers, was the clincher.
BTW, my hero uses duct tape and baling wire for repairing most anything. He can attest to the quality (and quantity) of duct tape...Red Green, the man who can fix anything for ya...

I believe that duct tape is called "speed tape" in the aircraft industry. Can anyone confirm that?

It's looks like that same stuff to me.
