I am trying to program the trunked system referenced in the following thread:

Can anyone tell me what type of system this is? I thought it was an EDACS but I don't know for sure. I am trying to program it into a RS PRO-528. Thanks.

These may be the same ones you listed in your question regarding whether or not the system is EDACS in the Radio Shack Scanners Forum. The poster in the above link suspected Seymour Johnson has a P25 Motorola system. If that is the case, your Pro 528 is worthless to monitor the system as it will only receive analog.

To see if the system is digital, enter the frequencies into the scanner in conventional mode and listen for traffic. If you hear somthing resembling a buzzsaw that comes across in radio traffic lengths, pauses, and then picks back up (like a reply), you may be hearing P25 digital.

I noticed you posted in it back in November. I haven't programmed a UHF Motorola system before, so I don't believe I can be any help. I will try to look at the manual for the 528 later tonight and see if I can offer any ideas.

Seymour Johnson uses a Motorola Type II Astro Smart Net system, so you are going to need a Digital Scanner to listen in. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
