Automated Dispatch
I was wanting to know of some agency's in NC that use the Automated Dispatch(Computer voice). I like these automated dispatches and want to know for when ever i travel. Raleigh EMS was the first one i have ever heard and i didn't know what in the world it was when i first heard it, and now i love them (I guess its just the way they sound). Anyway, any input would much be appreciated. Thanks

Wake County is the only municipality in NC to use Locution Cadvoice to dispatch out Fire and EMS units. For the record the following Wake County Agencies use the Locution Setup:
Raleigh Fire Dept Alert (Talkgroup 34000) (Silmulcasted on 154.370Mhz).
Wake County Fire Dept Alert (Talkgroup 33088) (Silmulcasted on 154.190Mhz)
Raleigh/Wake County EMS Alert (Talkgroup 35168) (Silmulcasted 156.225Mhz)
A search in this forum on "Locution" will bring up past discussions on this topic.

Although it is no longer in the Wake / Raleigh database, 159.000 / 192.8 is still in use for some Raleigh-area dispatches ... and those dispatches on 159.000 MHz are in the Locution format.

Yep Jeff that is correct...however I have been hesitant to add it back to the database due to the fact that no one can give a reason why it is being used...Chiefs, Veterans, people that should know...no one has been able to say why 159.000Mhz is still being used...one theory I have is that it extends the alert coverage for some southwestern Wake County agencies...it would be great if someone could give some insight into why it is used...

Also try the Columbus, OH and Indianpolis, IN feeds. Locution is utilized in these two areas.
