Default Stanly County

I'm receiving what I think is Stanly County, NC. I'm using a Pro-82 so I don't have a PL tone. I've heard one dispatch so far that is clear enough to understand.

Highway 24/27
Medic 31
Squad 34

I've attached a ZIP file containing the pager tones and the first part of the transmission. I had to cut a lot of space between the tones and the beginning of the transmission in order to get it small enough to upload. I've never tried uploading one of these before, so I hope it works.

if it's not stanly it sounds a little like iredell county the biggest problem is that 24 27 stretches from harnett county to cabarrus county.

Just heard this:

"Medic 21, Squad 56 breathing problems, Charlie response, 13227 Penion? Rd., cross streets are 52 South and Will Rd."

I did some searching. Will Rd. @ Hwy. 52 is showing on the map as Norwood, NC. Station 56 is the station number for Norwood City FD.

Stanly County has two primary frequencies they use for dispatch

154.310 Fire & Rescue

155.040 Ems Dispatch

They also use Motorola Reed Group 6 paging tones for alerting pagers.

Hope this helps

i just cant figure out why stanly tones have the dtmf dial up before the tones drop. i like it, it just seems either behind or advanced in times.

The DTMF Tones you hear are used to set off the sirens at the station being called.

It is a strange system.

If you listen to Rowan County, some of the stations there are using the same set-up.

It might be something to do with the communications director.

I know the Communications Director at Stanly County is now the Communications Director for Rowan County.

Same for Cabarrus

I have a Minitor III set up for Mt. Pleasant Fire.

The thing would alert for first responder calls and would also alert when the fire siren was set-off as well.

Now all I get is the pager tones. Quess it has something to do with the new dispatch consoles at communications.

Oh well when I have more time I will get one of the fire department pagers aand play around a little bit with it.
