Thanks to MBennett for this information last week. Just copied traffic between "Brenner 210" and "AirComm" doing a radio check. They didn't identify the talkgroup by name, but it reinforces MBennett's submission to the database. Also, as a point of interest, the radio ID for AirComm on TG 51523 is only one digit different from what AirComm uses on TG 51523 (Air Care Dispatch).

Yes you were correct Carolina Beach was missing. I sent in the info and it is now listed. Check under Sea Breeze now, it was Car Bch but now listed under Sea Breeze which is about 1 mile North of Carolina Beach off US 421. Tower site is actually down a dirt road called Hill Valley Walk near the Sea Breeze Community.

Iredell county Sheriff dept was using TG 25010 during a incident on I77. This is not in the database.

Thanks

I tried to monitor it, but that TG wasn't preloaded in my Uniden.

I tired the main channel and sound like they were talking, but it was encypted, so I gave up.

Thanks

David

I keep picking up a 52053 out of Newport (Carteret County) and I haven't heard enough to ID them yet.

I'm betting this is the same agency as yours...but I have no idea who yet.

I had 52067 pop up on my scanner one day when the SBI was in town. It was encrypted.

I suspect the talkgroup you're hearing is most likely SBI as well. The talkgroups are awful close.

If they were on the 3600 system then it will only be a matter of time before they are on P25. They may need to get their fleet or radios programmed.

Community Corrections, a division of DOC, carries portable radios with P25 local law enforcement programmed.

I understand you are talking about the actual facilities, however, the original question was concerning DOC. Since Community Corrections was using talkgroups assigned to the DOC (district talkgroups), and they are currently carrying P25 compliant radios, it stands to reason that everyone under the DOC umbrella, including facilities, will be there soon.

Wink Tropospheric Ducting on VIPER

No, not really.

I'm kidding, but it's neat when a VIPER user is within range of a site, and we're able to hear traffic that we wouldn't otherwise monitor.

According to the database, talkgroup 52572 is assigned to Wake Med Law Enforcement. There are multiple 200-series units calling "Central" with radio IDs in the 20763xx range. They are nice and clear on the Eden site (001-018) in Rockingham County.

Now this is what I monitored off the Spout Spring Tower at 9am today. A trooper from b troop was told to push a purple button on his radio and site #28 should show up. He did so and it showed up and he was told it was the Lillington site and the reason it has been down was due to not being able to talk back to the hub in Raleigh. Just FYI
