ECFS Filing: Currituck County Emergency Management (99-87) - 01/27/2012
The official narrowband deadline may be moot for Currituck Co. if they received the waiver from the F.C.C. that PBoy referred to in the above link he provided.
Anyone know ? The request was made in January, 2012.

Any more news on when Currituck is going digital? Also, does anyone here do the live feeds for the county and if so, will you be updating your equipment?

I haven't heard a thing from the old currituck system in the past couple of days.

Looks like they have made the switch then. The online feed for the sheriffs feed has been turned off. I'm on the southern end if Roanoke Island so I'm not sure I'd be able to pick it up down that far to confirm, but it's possible with my yagi aimed that way.

Maybe only sheriff has switched over then. Either that or VHF is simulcast now (although if you are heating 2-way traffic that's most likely not the case). I don't know anyone up there I can ask and my only digital scanner is tied up with Dare's online feed.

Check the newly licensed frequencies. If there's any digital activity, then they might be on the new system...

I bet that's their new VHF fire/EMS paging frequency. The link earlier in this thread points to all of their new 800 frequencies they applied for as well.

Perquimans is using new narrow band equipment of their own freqs. All VHF hi band and UHF (their county page is up to date). They have no plans on switching from where they are. Pasquotank has expanded their EMS/FD radio channels in the last year (their page is up to date as well). Nothing new otherwise and no plans to go digital or move to 800. All their licenses were updated many months ago.

Elizabeth City
Elizabeth City PD is still on their UHF repeater as listed on the Pasquotank County listing.
