MEDIC as in Charlotte MEDIC or Medic in Asheville. Your post is very vague.

He could also mean Duke Lifeflight or UNC Aircare. They are called "medic" sometimes.

I was messing around with the FCC Database the other week and noticed that Medic in Charlotte has just recently licensed a few VHF and a bunch of UHF Frequencies.

The database says for first responder use.

Does anybody know what these will be used for?

Also looking for the fire and first responder tones as well.

I had them at one time till they changed everything out and started using 156.165 Mhz for everything.

Please let me know,

Thanks

David

If the licenses you saw included the standard VHF and UHF medical frequencies (155.160, 155.22 ... 462.950, 462.975, etc ...), then it's likely the modified licenses reflecting the use of narrowband modulation.
