Default Alamance County Analog

I know most everything has gone digital but does the county or any of the cities in the county have analog channels that work anymore? I have a friend that has a analog scanner and was wondering if he will be able to pick up anything.

I don't live in (or monitor) Alamance county but fire and ems should still be carrying analog pagers. I'm not certain if they are just paging or if they have it as a simulcast to a VIPER talkgroup but you should at least hear fire/ems calls being dispatched. The database shows 154.22000 100.0 PL Fire Dispatch and 156.12000 110.9 PL EMS Dispatch. I'd give those a try and see what happens. Sorry I can't be more help

Okay, here we go!!!

Alamance County EMS DOES NOT simulcast VIPER on this freq (You will always hear the dispatcher, but no EMS units!):
156.120mhz

Alamance County Fire HAS A COMPLETE, 24/7 simulcast of VIPER on this freq (You will always hear units AND dispatcher!):
154.220mhz

The only reason that these frequencies are retained, is to set off pagers! (Whether VHF, or Digital radios are used makes no difference if monitoring fire channel! It simulcasts!)

I was hoping you'd jump in gr8rcall, you definitely know the area better than me. I just have an Alamance VIPER scanlist that rarely gets used.

Correct!

You can only listen to Fire/EMS. (EMS is limited to dispatcher only!)
