Default Federal Protective Service

Has anyone managed to monitor any FPS comms here in NC either on their UHF or VHF frequencies? I have searched and searched and that agency manages to elude me. I see their trucks around the triad area occasionally, so I know they are here.

Anyone have any Frequencies/Tones/NAC's that are confirmed in use in NC?

Jake, the last time I heard the FPS over in Asheville, they were still on 415.2 MHz. In most areas they should be switching over to the 406-410 MHz section of the federal UHF band. But in some areas they might still be operating on 415.2, 417.2 etc..

I don't see much for North Carolina in the Wiki:

Sorry I can't give you some more concrete information.

Chris,

Thanks for the info... I have search all the usual stuff with no luck. I am hoping someone here has logged them at some point. I guess they could be using cell phones for everything, but I kind of doubt that...

Search around between 406 MHz and 420 MHz and they should be there somewhere. The big problem is catching them when they talk, as they may not be saying much...

3p-6p [local] might be a good time, as PMC does a roll call with units in Region 1 at that time, maybe your MC does the same.
