I ran a tone decoder on Squad 50s tones & came up with 368.5/510.5, however I never could get my Bc396 to alert on the tones. The 396 worked fine on the other departments tones I tried.I never decoded any Ems tones.

could those tones be slightly off? I know all other fire depts are plectron tones, I noticed those are Motorola tones. Do you think maybe instead of 368.5, it could be 366, and instead of 510.5, it could be 495.8, or 517.8?

It's very possible they were off a little,I know everything else is plectron, but for some reason I didn't think this one was, maybe the sound of the tones? If I get a chance I'll record them again, I've deleted the recording. Are you using a Bc396, Bc330 or pager?

I recorded the tones again today & the tone counter I use read between 367-369 on the first tone & 509-512 on the second one.The closest plectron tone to 512 that I found was 517.8 & I don't think it would be that far off.On the other department tones they are usually within 1 or 2 hz, lower or higher. It seems like there were reports of a problem with the Bc396 decoding tones lower than 400 or 500 hz, but maybe that was with an earlier firmware version.I'll try it on the 396 again.
