Whats making you think this?
for the most part it isnt but they DO have a few encrypted talk groups as of now
all the main dispatch and Ops channels arent

Nothing encrypted now.

Listen to both Union Sheriff and Monroe Police every Saturday when I am down there

The main channels are open but they DO have a few different encrypted channels
Uc sheriff private IS encrypted as well as a few others

Well, can definitely say it isn't going to be fun for Cabarrus, Mecklenburg, Iredell, Stanly, and Gaston counties to have to re program all their radios for the encryption keys due to them all being on the UASI network...

Well then it is about time for somebody to invent a device that will decode encryption.

This encryption is BS.

It is just another way for the scanner listener to be screwed out of a hobby.

Keep on America is going to be like Russia and North Korea where everything is government controlled.

Encryption is another way for individuals to talk about people and conduct business illegally.

Encryption should be illegal except for swat, narcotics, hostage situations. Everything else should be open

for public use.

Encryption is another way for the local governments to hide information from the public.

People need to contact their Law Makers on the federal level and start a US ban of encryption like that law

maker in Colorado drafted for his state.
