NCSHP audio on CharMeck TRS

Is it me or does anyone else notice that the SHP simulcast on the CharMeck TRS always sounds like they are eating their mic? The audio is louder than all the other talkgroups and almost over-modulated at times.

It seems like whenever they come on I'm turning down the radio, then turning it back up again for CMPD.

ive noticed that on 42.600 near me, the only time i can understand HP is when they come up on the sherriffs band around here lol

I just got my Pro-97. I've caught a few HP transmissions, and I didn't notice anything different between channels.

SHP has always (over a year) had much higher audio level than other than other TGs on the Charmeck system. I assumed it was the input to the TRS vs the SHP radios themselves, but who knows? Never noticed any significant overmodulation problem though. Yes, it makes monitering a bit of a pain.

I'll back you on the high audio level, I get the same thing on my BC246T.
Their audio is always muffled like their holding a power mic to close to their
mouth.
