Saw in the Chatham News newspaper down here where i live in the chatham co. area that the Pittsboro PD (county seat) will after years of sharing traffic with the Chatham Sheriff on 453.800 soon will install and use a new UHF radio base and radio system with a 'new' frequency just for the PD....
It's small town stuff, i know, but interesting that as everyone seems to be going trunked or to viper system, here is a small town that is going UHF....will keep an ear out and report in when they get as yet unknown new freq. up and running sometime after first of the year....rgds, redclay 10/16
