I am moving to the Highlands area in February. I currently live in Georgia which has very lax laws regarding scanners in your vehicle. Are there any laws against this in North Carolina?
the rule on scanners in cars in NC is pretty plain. You may have them just don't use it in an advancement of a crime. Highlands is a beautiful area, I'm down the ways in Jackson at wcu's campus as a senior in the emergency management program
the law in georgia is pretty much stated the same. the last time i went threw a DUI checkpoint i ended up having a conversation with the deputy regarding where he could get a unit like mine and if i could help him program it. he was a volunteer FF as well as me and need something a little better in his POV besides his pager and handheld radio.
