I have been searching for a few hours trying to find out if there is a 'system' that is used by the on-site personnel at the Shearon Harris plant. I see that Securitas is the contracted security system. I have been monitoring the Progress Energy trunking system for a few days, but have not heard anything regarding checkpoints at the gates or on-site chatter.
It's possible they are using a UHF repeater, or just simplex frequencies.

This is what the RR Database shows. I need to submit an update to add the WPZP997 "Location 2" frequencies which are not listed as well it appears. I'm getting a very strong control channel on 938.500mhz, which is not listed as a local frequency.

Here is what I came up with on the FCC site. The trunking control channel comes in loud and clear but there is very little if any use of the system. I have even tried logging talkgroup ID's but have come up with nothing.

The reason I'm interested in scanning the Harris plant is because I live within 15 miles of the plant, and the ability to hear things going on would be a benefit to me in the event of a mishap. Plus of course, I'm just curious, as any scanning enthusiast would be.

Thanks..Chris
