Looks like Harrison has submitted and been granted the updated frequencies for their 800 mhz license.

WPMB710 License
WPMB710 Application

866.0500 turns into 851.0500
866.3000 turns into 851.0500
866.1875 turns into 851.1875 (Sheriff 1)
868.4875 turns into 853.4875 (Sheriff 2)

Their normal 866/868 freqs are active still as of today. But if you listen to Harrison Co you might want to program in the new ones as well and report when they go active. I don't listen to them often.

Thanks for update

Mike,

Thanks for the update, I'll add them here and while I don't listen everyday I will pass along when I hear them in service.

Heard a Jefferson County FD on the air the other day note they were to go somewhere to get the radios reprogrammed so that is continuing to move along as well. I can't remember which department.

Thanks Dale, would appreciate it whenever you notice the change. Yeah, I have been hearing that too.

I listen to the JeffCo paging (452.550) and last week they were paging dept officers for every FD/EMS unit and having them call in to communications at 266-xxxx. I had heard them doing some testing around that time as well. Would be nice if we saw a slew of new TGs etc to document once they switch over - probably won't though.

I did hear Station 41 comment to JCOM a day or two ago that they were unhappy that the podunk PDs were checking in/out with JCOM when they went 10-1 and 10-7 but were failing to let Station 41 know when they were on/off the air.

Anyway, back to Harrison - I can pick up their 800 freqs pretty good - at least the one served from the Cadiz tower. They have four freqs yet I only ever hear them on one (I forget which one). Do you ever hear any activity on the other 800 freqs in Harrison?

Was there a typo on one of the updated Freqs? You listed 851.0500 twice. Maybe one of them should be 851.3000?

866.1875 and 868.4875 are both active this 2 AM. I listen to Harr alot when I go out to Piedmont Lake for the weekend but I never look to see what I'm listening to. I put the new ones in my 600.

Ok cool. I listened last night and realized I was listening to 866.1875. I'll have eto put in .4875 - not sure if i'll get it though if it's only available off of the Dennison tower (I dont know for sure).

I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure .4875 is indeed the west frequency. Don't know if the car radios switch to the one they "hear" best or if it's a manual switch. Of course they also use the 151 MHz frequency for sheriff and PD operations and there seems to be no consistent pattern. Same for fire, 154.13 is for the west end and 155.415 is east.

Still have not heard anything but unmodulated carrier on 866.0500 and 866.300. Both come up from time to time but only have a code ID and otherwise unmodulated carrier.

Thanks Dale. Yeah I noted teh same thing about the 151 mhz freq and the 800 mhz. I often hear their inversion on the 151 mhz freq. I usually lock it out because I don't care to listen to it heh. Ok, if .4875 is their west one, that explains why I don't hear anything - that tower is too far away for me to reliably here over here.

On the air

Just heard 851.1875 for the first time in a voice broadcast. Don't know if it is a simulcast or if the switch has been made. Clearly for the past couple of weeks new radios have been in service on the 866 frequencies as there have been lots of transmissions with a tone tail. I've also heard 851.1875 come up unmodulated several times this afternoon.

UPDATE. I've also heard 851.300 come up unmodulated in the pattern that was formerly heard on 866.300. It appears the switch has been made as 851.1875 is operating as I type this and 866.1875 is silent at the same time.
