Arlington Heights Fire Department has disbanded,
closing Station 11. Reading Fire Department will now
cover Arlington Heights territory.

Although this kind of thing is inevitable with annexation, this is a very unfortunate event for the community. Like the Reading Chief said, it is happening more and more. For years big government has operated like there was no bottom of the barrel and some still haven’t realized that they should be operating like a business. You either learn to operate lean and within the budget or you don’t operate.
