Right Ed and that is what this post is all about, my inability to complete the identity of a 700 MHz MARCS P-25 TalkGroup because I lost the use of my PSR500 and had to go back to my Pro-96. Did you perhaps miss that part of the running discussion on that?

Yep I guess so.
I've noticed some of these thread response email notifications are sometimes out of order. I was confused.

Good receive for both Lake and Cuyahoga today
It's been a while since I've heard the MARCS Lake County 800 Mhz P25 system. All day to day I've had solid receive with 3 bars on the scanner.
I've also had very little garble on the MARCS Cuyahoga County 700 Mhz P25 system.
Steady to heavy rain since noon at my house. Receive wise, it's been a crystal clear day for monitoring.
Maybe the towers needed watering

Gary,
I missed this. Mentor PD is on TG 27702 of MARCS-IP? That falls right in the middle of a bunch of county-specific talkgroups. Are you confident this is going to be Mentor PD -- meaning, are they still actively using this daily?
I'm not sure I understand the ??? question. 27702 is definitely not the same talkgroup ID that they use on the current system (Lake Co 800 mhz / TG 304).
Please let me know if 27702 needs to be added to the MARCS-IP database for Lake Co.
Thanks!
mike

That was just for info not to add to database.
Seems odd to me also.
Mentor PD was using the 16xxx radio Id's on 27702 for just that one day.
Those radio id's are used on the current system (Lake County).
Maybe it was a temp link.

Lake County is (or was) using a SmartX box to patch old and new systems together; it's only temporary, though. You'll see the old talkgroup and radio ID numbers on the P25 side where patching is in place.

Mentor PD
Thanks for the info.
Was not sure on what was going on.
This seems to clear things up.
I did think it was a patch of some sort.
I will keep an eye on the TG for any thing that may show up.
Thanks...GHF...

Gary,
I don't have my PSR 500 back form GRE repair yet. Hopefully by Friday but not sure.

I would identify the following: Your call
tg display marcs old tg
13541 fd hillcrest north 36896
13546 fd hillcrest south 19424
13548 fd south euclid 36880
13562 fd eastcomm (x1) 36880
13563 fd hillcrest no fpb
13564 fd hillcrest no #4
as hillcrest north still uses a channel #3, (uhf low power)
identifing tg 13563 as channel #3 may be confusing.
13562 fd eastcomm (1x) seems to have gone into service today
starting with radio checks at 08:00. ((cities of cleveland hts, shaker hts. And univ. Hts., via current tone out uhf frequency)
13548 fd south euclid also active today am. (dispatched via in house one station with no tone out frequency known)
13546 fd hillcrest south active today mid am. (city of lyndhurst) the old marcs channel (19424) included the cities of pepper pike and beachwood but not heard as yet.

FD South Euclid TG 13548 was identified as Channel #12 via Eastcomm (1X) during a mutual aid call to South Euclid today. (Cleveland Hts. advising units to switch to #12 for South Euclid FD)

TG54533 on Cuyahoga 700 Mhz
Monitored traffic that sounds like radio techs discussing an issue Eastcom is having.
There's an issue with Eastcom (users) acquiring site 3. Part of the issue is, the tech's don't know which site is site 3.

I see several new talkgroups for Police & Fire were posted in database for Geauga County .. but radio traffic still seems on Geauga 800 existing system.
Will Geauga have it's own set of 700mz frequencies on the P-25 system ?
Any general idea on timeline for Geauga public safety dept to move ?

Confirmed from my friend who works in Lake county. They are live due to a malfunction of the old system. The whole county goes live on the 29th.

As far as I know Geauga County is switching its present 800 analog system to a digital 800 system and will not be part of the MARCS P-25 system. The change over is suppossed to take place January 1, 2013. If this is still not the case I am sure kf8yk will correct this statement.
