That seems a little better ... looking at Michigan Public Safety, for Livingston County for example .. that breakdown looks much cleaner, organized.
I like having Fire / Police / Schools / Public Works etc totally separated .. so for example you'd have a Geauga County FIRE listing .. a Geauga County Law listing.

This past spring the following TG's were used for Law Enforcement Training classes.
TG14492, TG14494 and TG14036.
The initial traffic monitored last spring sounded like surveillance, but with way too much chatter. Later in the week I monitored the instructor's discussing class agenda's, activities and locations.
Never heard any traffic identifying who was doing the training. The locations used last spring were in the University Heights and Shaker Heights area's.

One correction to the above. It wasn't "This past spring", it was just the last week of July to the first week of August. Don't know why, but it seemed a lot longer ago.

I was wondering whether it is necessary to enter the Lake County and/or Columbus sites to hear P25 transmissions from Lake County in Southwest Cuyahoga County or is it sufficient to have the MARCS P25 Cuyahoga County system entered on my GRE PSR 500. I live in Parma Heights and this system is mostly garbled from my home but I have had better luck picking it up in Cleveland , Strongsville, and the eastern Cuyahoga County suburbs.

Yes I am wondering also. I only have the 700 MHz freqs loaded but I do hear Laketran and some other lake county stuff. The old Lake county 800 system is marginal here - in and out.

Question about the new P25 system
I'm a novice when it comes to understanding all the lingo, but I have a question if someone can help me with.
I have the GRE-PSR-800 I did all of the updates on it on the computer and I don't have all of the police and fire departments on the new updated list. Is this because GRECOM has yet to do a new update or did I do something wrong? Also, if it is GRECOM that hasn't done a new update yet how long do you think till they do?
I live in Mentor and I can hear the Mentor PD ,but not the one I want to hear the most being the Mentor FD.
Can I enter MFD new channel # manually on this scanner?
Thanks, i will greatly appreciate the help
Brian

I got two submissions today for a Painesville FD talkgroup.
One submission said TG 27533 is Painesville FD, and another submission says TG 27553 is Painesville FD.
For those of you monitoring the system, I'd appreciate if you would pay close attention to this and let me know which talkgroup is in fact Painesville FD. We might need a third party arbitrator rofl.

John,
Although I don't know of any hard and fast rule for how the sys admins are assigning talkgroups, tg 27713 seems to be "out of place" for a fire talkgroup. All the others are in the 27500s. The 27700s have a lot of Lake Co specific talkgroups. Can you confirm with certainty that Mentor on the Lake FD is on 27713 ?
Before I add this to the system I'll need to get further confirmation.
Mike
