Is Geauga using the Cuyahoga P25 frequencies or the frequencies from their current analog system ?

Currently, the Geauga Co. radios are affiliating with the Cuyahoga System. The current Geauga Co Simulcast System will be switched to p25 in the near future where Cuyahoga & Lake radios could then affiliate to (and vice versa).

Default Tg 27676

Heard Timberlake PD (radio ID 4329002) on TG 27676 getting license plate info from dispatch, then said "switching back to main channel". Same unit was later heard on TG 27506 (Lake Co Sheriff / Perry PD / Timberlake PD Dispatch). Apparently TG 27676 is channel 1A for Lake Co Sheriff / Perry PD / Timberlake PD.

I've added it to the DB. If for some reason down the road you determine the description to be different than what it is in the DB, please let me know.

Thanks, and Happy New Year to everyone!

OK, thanks. They didn't say "1A", but I think it's a reasonable assumption.

Today I heard about 15 minutes of Lakewood PD car-to-car talk on TG 14481. Is this enough info to be submitted ?

I went ahead and entered it in the DB; in future if you monitor something like that and are able to confirm the user agency, by all means submit it!

I'm not sure this is Lakewood... What did you hear when you posted this? I've been listening to this TG for about an hour now and it sounds just like one of CCSOs warrant operations in downtown Cleveland. I did listen on the new Cleveland p25 system in case it was a patch but it is not. Anyone else with some ideas?

listening longer, I get the impression there are multiple agencies involved. Based on traffic heard, I would say this may be a narcotics TG.

I'm getting radio traffic on Cuyahoga system on TG 10519 ..
Unit ID 12xxxx, which would be Clark County .. Sounds like police traffic...

Gary,

There really is nothing odd. It's a statewide system. There is probably a Clark Co unit up in your area somewhere and so you are hearing traffic on whatever talkgroup he/she is on while they are within range of the Cuyahoga system.

It behaves just like the Ohio MARCS system does, where a local ambulance service on MARCS could be up in Cuyahoga / Lake / Summit / wherever and their traffic would be heard on various towers as their radios communicate with those towers.

Mike

Default Talkgroups 14481

Talkgroups 14481 is definitely Lakewood P.D. While I was out Saturday night Rocky River and Lakewood was in a pursuit and I passed a Lakewood car as he was talking.

What I heard were four cars doing surveillance work following a suspected vehicle. They mentioned at least five main streets they were on and all were in Lakewood.

When I was listening, the surveillance began on I480 and onto brookpark rd, then up 176 to steelyard, Clark ave, W25th, onto I90 to lakeside, superior, to the clinic, then later ended up at a residence near w65th and storer. Last time I checked, none of this is anywhere near Lakewood.

Default Possible new site (Greene County?)

I live in Beavercreek, and am hearing what I believe is a new OMARCS-IP somewhere close. I'm hearing a strong control channel signal on 774.30625, showing as SID:0348h-0110, that is assigning a voice channel of 770.15625 (also strong).

These are not yet listed in the RRDB.

In a few minutes of monitoring, I've heard TGIDs 10519 (Clark CO SO) and 17000 (Fayette CO SO).
