Well since you heard it off the Beachwood site that blows my theory that it may have been Canton Twp. Fire Department since I heard someone call for "301" along with rumors that they are going to MARCS or Stark County.

If it was LifeFlight talking to Canton Two Fire, it could easily have been off the Beachwood tower.

Ever bring your radio in a plane? You hear traffic all over the state off various towers. It's very easy for any of the MLF aircraft, ground transport or even base radios to associate with the Beachwood tower at that point.

TGID 13587 isn't in the DB but is in the number group for Fire/EMS/hospitals etc. I later heard "...on 800."
Just reporting a possible new TG.
~~~
Oh, a388sig2 you may be talking about the other un-IDed TG 49500....
Un-IDed TGID 19633 off the Geauga system. Very garbled. Unable to tell who or what.
There are a few new radios in the hands of some key individuals on several fire departments who are doing random testing between themselves in preperation for the the new live date of the end of March. Since only a few of the Geauga towers have been activated you are probably hearing that chatter but garbled because of the lack of active towers.
Default New Geauga P-25 System
I was listening to the New digital System Yesterday for Geauga County and Talk Group ID # 19541 showed up a few times and heard them calling Ledgemont Base. Sounds like Ledgemont Schools. Didn't see it in the data base yet so thought I would post.
Heard again this evening with what sounded like special ops tailing a car south on I-271 into Warrensville Heights. Unit ID was 4335xxx, so presumably Willoughby PD unit again. Dunno what this TG is.
Question TG 27637
Apparent Perry PD unit (UID 4322xxx) saying that this was channel 1A. But DB says TG 27639 is Perry Village PD 1A and TG 27669 is Perry City PD 1A. So I don't know what this is.
Default TG54712
Monitored two short radio tests on TG54712 around 11:05 am. The traffic was "Radio check on Fire Interop channel from Radio 1". The traffic was repeated and a response was received.
Unfortunately my scanner didn't display a radio id for either radio.
Default castalia
I heard Bay Village squad while I was in the Castalia Ohio area. Not sure if it came off a tower in Castalia or it could have come off Berlin Heights tower. I only had 3 bars and if it was in Castalia tower I should have had more bars.
Do you have a digital scanner? If you do, why don't you program in the Marion site as a P25-Auto system in open mode / group wildcard (depending on the type of scanner you have) and listen. it's easy enough to tell if MCSO is on there just by listening.
The last known control channel for the Marion MARCS-IP P25 site is; 773.30625
And there are likely other freqs in use that aren't on the license. Plus, there are the frequencies that are listed on the license:
ULS Application - Trunked Public Safety 700 MHz - 0005477132 - OHIO, STATE OF - Frequency Summary
If you set up a P25 Auto system with those freqs and you have it in open mode / have group wildcard set up, you'll be able to pick up anything and everything on that site.
Definitely heard Canton Township Fire Department on 49500 this morning. Heard units leaving last night's structure fire doing a radio check with assistant chief 302. They mentioned being at the Raff/Whipple exit off of US 30.
Default Another Item of note
Nimishillen Township trustees meeting of March 14
NIMISHILLEN TWP. —
KEY ACTION Agreed to pursue a contract with Ohio’s Multi Agency Radio Community System.
DISCUSSION The annual contract costing $62 for the first year would result in considerable savings to the township compared to the $800 a month for the current system, according to Fire Chief Rich Peterson.
The digital Internet protocol system would cost $154 in the second year and $300 in the third year. The new system would tie the CenCom dispatching facility to the entire state with no signal loss due to distances which occurs with the current Canton and Stark County tie-in system.
__________________________________________________ _____________________________________
Can Anyone make heads or tails of what this reporter is talking about. He clearly knows nothing of MARCS and does not explain it well. Does this mean the township is going on MARCS? Are these figures a per radio cost? Surely they cannot be the entire cost for the township to join the MARCS system.
Those figures seem kind of odd.
Unless they have some kind of special deal they should be paying $20/month per radio, which amounts to $240/year per radio.
I'm not convinced it is Canton Township. I picked up this talkgroup just now off Nimisillen. I also had a small blip this afternoon from this talkgroup. Four radios logged, all for in the 85900xx range. Doesn't that put them in Wayne county (85) by the state numbering plan?
Mike, thanks for the reply. At the time of my posting, the FCC license search produced no results for a new license for the MCSO's MARCS IP. It has since showed up as you pointed out. I currently do not OWN a digital scanner, but am working on getting this figured out with the local Uniden dealer. As soon as I'm convinced that I can hear everything I want to, I'll be purchasing. He has been gracious enough to allow me to take the unit home to try to figure it out, so I'll be doing more with it in the next couple days. Thanks again !!
