Lake County has moved to a Project 25 trunk system from their Moto Type II system. They are now part of the MARCS P25 system that's being deployed.

To hear this system, you need to create a new P25 TSYS, create the system as P25 Auto. Create both Private and Group Wildcards. Enter the CC (control channels) that are listed in the RR database. Enter the TG's (talk groups) listed in the RR database.

You should be good to go.

Here's a link to the MARCS P25 RR database.

Ohio MARCS-IP: Multi-Agency Radio Communications (P25) Trunking System, Various, Ohio - Scanner Frequencies

Also for more information look at the Ohio MARCS P25 thread at the top of the Ohio Forum. Start at the last entries and work backwards to see the evolution of the system.

Default Question about that

I have a psr-500 but I sold my dad a uniden bc250d that was working fine with the old system. I read somewhere it may not work with this new setup. Can anyone clarify if it will or not. If not I am going to have to give him some money back lol and try to sell it.

Ok I did get mine working I believe I am hearing Kirtland hills, Cleveland metroparks etc Now I just have to try to figure out my dads scanner later the bc250d with an apco 25 card installed in it. It is one of the scanners on the list that cannot be firmware upgraded though. This makes me wonder if it will work with this system. Should I go out and buy the computer cable cord to try to upload the files or is it just a waste of time.

I wonder if they still have the simulcast dispatch on lowband? Never really knew what that was for anyway.

Lake Co has moved to a new trunked system -- the Ohio MARCS-IP P25 system.

Read the last few pages of this thread:

http://forums.radioreference.com/ohi...25-system.html

Also, here is the new system:

Ohio MARCS-IP: Multi-Agency Radio Communications (P25) Trunking System, Various, Ohio - Scanner Frequencies

Any further discussion about Lake Co probably should go in the thread I referenced above. I'm not a moderator, but a moderator might want to consider closing this thread.

Closing this thread since there are now a couple of stuck threads relating to this system.
Access them using the links Mike has provided above, or from the Ohio Forum page.
