Default Tg 56546

I'm almost certain that TG 56546 is the UHF version of COSD-Ch-3. Lots of traffic tonight. Picking up really good from my location.

PD, definitely tracking someone. I heard Rockside and Northfield.

Default Talkgroup Info

Hi Group: Just a suggestion! Some of the info regarding the traffic we are hearing would be better not listed so that we could continue listening. If not it may start to be encrypted. I know for a "FACT" that the System Administrators are monitoring this group.

I doubt that the decision to encrypt will be based solely on this forum.

Look at the number of avg listeners to the Internet stream of CPD's legacy system. They know people are interested and will listen. At any given time those feeds have more listeners than some commercial radio stations in town.

With equipment out to bid and largely purchased already, my best bet is that the decision of which talkgroups to encrypt has already been determined.

It is already confirmed that users on the new system are equipped with encryption. We don't want someone to remind them to flip the button. All the rebroadcasts never rebroadcasted detective talkgroups. And even if you had a City programmed radio they did not give you those talkgroups. I only have the Districts, Fire and EMS.

Default Cuyahoga County Jail

I am trying to find the talkgroup for the Cuyahoga County Jail as the Sheriff has moved to Cleveland Public Safety. It appears that all of their conventional operations have been moved to P25 along with the Cuyahoga County Protective Services. The only talkgroup that is missing from this move is the Jail. Searching by using the wildcard option [the only way I know to fiond the Jail]. Thanks.

I agree completely why poke the tiger, although I fear those damn scanner apps will kill the hobby first.

Default Tg 56239

Monitoring traffic on 56239. Still trying to determine if the Cuyahoa County Jail is switched over to P25.

I'm thinking 56239 has to be City of Cleveland Division of Waste Collection and Disposal.

Monitored traffic, "There's nothing out. They like to call in saying we missed their stop, no black can, no blue can out, nothing out."

Also radio transmissions of broken down vehicles.

Additional talk of "servicing a recycling can."

Anyone catch enough traffic to identify?

It seems like a lot of traffic though for just waste collection, but I doubt in Cleveland they have multiple services working off one channel. Usually there it seems like everyone has their own talkgroup or frequency.

Heard some brief traffic this morning. Unable to identify the traffic. Definately not the Cuyahoga County Jail but within the Tg range of the Sheriff's Office.

Monitored that as well, seemed to be sporadic bursts of key up, with some additional "testing" counts, but nothing identifiable.

Wondering if those were tac talkgroups?

What else hasn't been ID'd from the SO that they had in the UHF world (basically who had yet to switch over)?

You'd have to figure there will be a SWAT channel, possible special events and tac.

Default Tg56551

Have heard several transmissions regarding "Moving to Court Room B" on TG56551. Sounds like traffic for the Cleveland Justice Center.

Has anyone with a HP seen the updates for the CCSO (56538) or the Protective Srv? (56547). I did the update this AM abd it still just showing the TG no name. Is this normal? Same with Solon Fire on the Cuy.System still just sowing 14483

This is strictly some observation.

I haven’t heard the Cuy County Sheriff on any of their old UHF channels lately.

Seems they have moved to the new Cleveland System.

Watching a few Radio ID’s on this system I have noted the following they would begin with:

Unknown: 1801
City Garage: 1820?
Streets and or Trash Collection: 1821 at least (4) TG’s
Signs: 1822
Animal control: 1836
Unknown: 1865
Unknown: 1866
Sheriff or PD: 1879 multiple TG’s including the courts and security
Unknown: 1891

Default Cuy Co SO

It would appear that they have switched all but their Jail frequencies to the new system. Still looking for the Jail talk group, assuming there is one. Unable to monitor the existing frequency from my location.

If the repeater is offline what is the jail using? I know that they had to use the repeater for the Jail to avoid numerous dead spots.
