There were two different bizarre sounding automated voice transmissions. I think I heard the word "Wave" in both transmissions. But I don't know what the rest of it was.

TG 56547 heard this morning, very active referring to different officers and calling on in on-duty at 0800 [possibly CMSD Police or CPD].

I heard the following traffic "EMS had been called to the building. Can you go to the door and let them in?" Reply was " Yes, heading there now".
Sounds like some sort of security. Dispatch makes calls to id or unit numbers in the 200's (212, 201.etc..).

Need Help
I live in strongsville and have been attempting to monitor the new cleveland system. All of the transmissions are garbled and unreadable. I have used a PSR 800 and a pro 96. I have a roof antenna. Is this due to the simulcasting? Am I screwed? Any suggestions?

A complaint many of us have. There is a lot of info in the MARCS IP P25 thread and some here also. I would try another antenna. Your fixed roof antenna may be stuck in a bad location for this system.

Jim; You will have to wait a while till the old system is taken out of service and a site near you is being added. PS: Is this the same Jim Dunkle from Lakewood?

TG56547 and TG56538
Hearing traffic from same group of radio id's on both of these TG's. Most of the traffic starts on TG56547, some move to TG56538 for additional info.
The dispatch on TG56547 is referred to as Radio. Units in the field (so far) most have three digit id's and a few have four digit id's (212, 600, 9328). I've also heard calls made to Officer (name given) from Officer (name given).
Location information is very minimal (for a big city). Example: Alarm at Day Care Center on Fairfax. No street address given. Two units responded to the call. Must be a popular day care.
These two TG's seem to experience intermittent radio problems. Heard several calls from Radio to units in the field. The Field unit responds but no answer back from Radio. The Field unit calls back to Radio again, still no answer from Radio. Then Radio calls the unit again, this time Field unit doesn't respond. I'm hearing both parties clearly, but they don't seem to hear each other. During this same time frame I'm hearing other TG's having two way conversations without issue.
On TG56547 I periodically hear automated building alarms calls or alerts. Many are way too loud (over driven), making them distorted.

James,
Earlier this year Cleveland had submitted several STA's to the FCC with up to 14 towers. The request was rejected. The Cleveland System then went forward with deployment using their existing locations.
So I'd assume that at some point in the near future, Cleveland will go back to the FCC to request licenses for additional sites.
Also, earlier this year there was an article in the paper regarding SWRCN's plans to join the Cleveland system. When they do, I'd expect the SWRCN's Strongsville tower to become part of the Cleveland system. That should help you out.

Tg 56547
Those unit numbers are used by CPD, can rule out CMHA or CMSD responding to an alarm at a Day Care, I'll have to listen kind of fun trying to pin point the actual group.

Tg56538
Heard the following radio traffic on TG56538 at roughly 5:40 pm today.
"Protective Services Patrol to HPG garage".
Yesterday I heard traffic on TG56547 from Radio to a unit #, telling the unit to open the door at HPG garage for a bank transfer.
The radio traffic on these two TG's continues to sound like some form of building security. I haven't heard anything similar to typical dispatch to patrol car traffic.
What garage is HPG? The only thing I can find that sounds similar is Hunting Parking Garage. But why say HPG followed by garage? Wouldn't it be HP garage?
Anyone know specifically what Protective Service Patrol is? Private company, part of Cleveland law enforcement?

The protective services you are hearing could be Cuyahoga County they have a protective patrol that provides security to all county offices and properties

I would like to take this time to thank the members who replied to my post requesting information on improving my reception of the P25 system in Cleveland.

Cleveland P 25
Took my PSR 800 with me today for a drive into Cleveland. Once I got around I-71 and Pearl Rd. the Cleveland system was booming in full quieting. I am just in a lousy location at home.

I suspect the users didn't realize only one side of the conversation was encrypted.

It appears the user of radio id 1879201 which was transmitting in the clear has been instructed on how to enable encryption.
All of the traffic on TG56545 is now encrypted.
