Default Parma Senior Center

Heard the Parma Senior Center dispatch trying to make calls again today on the wrong channel/TG. Heard dispatcher on TG56484 and TG56483 trying to call (van) 45. Dispatch went back to her original radio and successfully contact (van) 45 on TG56488.

A radio tech needs to check out the radio's given to the dispatcher to see if the Channels/TG are programmed correctly. If the radio's are programmed correctly, give the dispatcher training on how to select the correct Channel/TG.

Bud, the RR Database identifies 56488 as Parma Hts Senior Center. You are calling it Parma. Is the RR item mislabled?

Thanks,

John

My bad, it's Parma Hts. Sorry for the confusion.

Maybe I should get some retraining.

Default TG56377 Brookpark testing PD console

I monitored testing traffic on TG56377 this morning. The testing was on the console for Brookpark PD. The tests were for Brookpark Aux PD and several patch channels being setup.

Default Has SWRCN moved over?

I haven't heard any FD traffic on SWRCN (including Strongsville's nightly 2200 tone test) tonight

You must've missed it, SFD tested all stations a bit after 2200 except #2, which was on a run.

Thanks for the reply! It seems I'm having some sort of trunking issue with the 106. Somehow the Talk Systems got all switched around

Monitored traffic from Brookpark PD on TG56377 this morning. The traffic so far has been fairly light.

Note, there is a similar post from davidzimmerman on the Ohio Radio Discussion Forum home page.

Default 56149

Determined that CPD SWAT, 56149, is encrypted. Got the 'busy' signal.

Lots of new CPD talkgroups today:

TG56030, 56031, 56032, 56033 and 56083.

Also, heard a reference to OSP with an OSP answer on 56043

Pretty neat watching new TGs appear

Yeah saw that too.
I have a live feed broadcasting unknown talkgroups temporarily. It wont sound too great because it's all done via software.
Here's the link if anyone wants to check it out.

Earlier to day, around 5:00 pm I heard the following radio checks and responses.

TG56030 radio check on Region 2
TG56031 radio check on Region 3
TG56032 radio check on Region 4
TG56033 radio check on Region 5

When I got back home this evening (around 7:30 pm) I've heard the same traffic reported by KB8VJU. Some sort of joint Detail with CPD and OSP sharing info (Wants & Warrants) regarding cars that were pulled over for traffic violations. The OSP operation is being coordinated at Steel Yard Commons. Earlier today when the POTUS was in town I heard OSP units from Medina and Lorain reporting to Steel Yard Commons for the Shield Detail.

Good catch. Doing a search, back to 7/28, shows TG 56030 identified as REGIONAL 2. Sounds like we've stumbled on a block of INTEROP groups.

Sounds right, so far besides CPD Detectives/Under Cover and OSP. I've heard the following units involved. Gang unit, K-9 unit (drug sniffing dogs), BAT Van (blood alcohol test), Towing and CPU (prisoner transport).

Plenty of activity all night. On top of what has already been mentioned I believe the chopper was working and the vice units. Not a good night to be a “bad guy”. I bet there will be something on the news tonight. Also if you goggle operation shield you can get quite a bit of info on past operations.
