Don't know of a Grandwood street but there is a Grantwood in Parma which would form the bottom of a rectangle area with the three other streets.

Don't know who it would be - maybe SO?

A lot more than "testing" going on. Noticed dispatch uid's 1006 and 1008 if that is of any significance.

Default TG56580

That number is listed as CMHA PD 3 but I wonder about that as I to heard drug activity on that group.
I guess time will tell. I have copied that one for several months and I have heard traffic from Strongsville and Brunswick areas.

Also caught TG56569 with ID:1866XXXX

This is a CMHA talk group, radio id's are 1863xxx. The surveillance activity took place at Tuxedo Ave and Broadview Road in Parma (three blocks south of Broadview and Brookpark). The CMHA units were parked at the gas station next to the Deli Mart where the transactions took place.

Both Tonya and Daleb49 have reported it as CMHA Channel 3.

The currently known CMHA TG's are 56576 (Dispatch), 56577 (CH 2), 56578 (designation unknown, minimal use) and 56580 (CH3, surveillance/undercover).

Default CPD Chopper

I just monitored CPD Chopper checking in with Region 2 and Region 3 dispatchers. Region 2 dispatch radio id 1006 and Region 3 dispatch radio id 1008.

The CPD Chopper announced that it will be available on the Chopper Channel which should be TG56160.

They've been doing testing/radio checks all day. Just heard a dispatch (radio id 1872003) regarding the smell of natural gas in a home. Unit responded as Utilities ###.

Probably Utility 10 or 20 which is a pickup truck that responds to those type calls

Monitoring CMHA traffic tonight on TG56578, radio id's 1863xxx. The traffic is similar to what was heard on 56580 earlier this week.

Any ideas regarding a Tag for this TG?

Logically, 56578 would be CMHA TAC 1 and then 56579 TAC 2, since we know TAC 3 is 56580.
But logic never seems to come in to play on these TGIDs ... it's like a dart board they throw at, to assign TGs

Ok, is the following what you are proposing?

56576 Dispatch
56577 Channel 2

56578 TAC 1
56579 TAC 2
56580 TAC 3

Two things. First there are conflicting reports for 56580. The first report I saw was from Tonya (795 permalink) as CH 3. Next Daleb49 (846 permalink) reported 56580 as CMHA PD 3 and then tylerwatt12 (849 permalink) as TAC3. Second, I don't show any hits for 56579 and I haven't seen any reports for it. So calling 56579 TAC 2 is a bit of a stretch.

Note: to me the tylerwatt12 report for 56580 sounds the most accurate. So for now, my vote would go for the proposal with the 3 TAC channels. It can always be changed later if necessary.

56580 is TAC3. Radio tech called it out during testing one morning. That's all I know.

It would be nice if the database had some sort of flag for an entry being "This is a best guess, the name may be incorrect" .. seems we have lots of good info in these dialogues but our info kind of gets lost having to go back 40 posts to see, oh yeah, we already said TGID is probably .....

I'm just proposing if we know there is a TAC 3, logic would say there is TAC1 and TAC2 .. and you heard radio traffic on 56578 .... it's probably TAC1. if it's not it could always be changed. no harm, no foul.

You guys might want to consider using the Wiki to keep track of unconfirmed talkgroups that you are trying to pin down. Notice that Jeff Pryor (who isn't even from the area) has already added information [to the wiki page] that is valuable to the rest of you who monitor the system.

Greater Cleveland Radio Communications Network - The RadioReference Wiki

Just set up a section in there for talkgroups you are unsure about. You can section them out by agency, etc. Then once you have some confidence you can submit them to the DB.

Of course, for the most part, if you submit them to the DB and know at least the agency / primary use, they do get added regardless.

Please do consider trying the wiki. Everyone is allowed to edit the wiki. Every RR user has the ability to edit hte Wiki. Just log into the Wiki with the same login credentials that you use to log into RR itself.

Well I've used the wiki at times but find it difficult to navigate to what I am actually looking for. It's much like searches on the internet. Searching for "the radio reference forum" gets you every occurance of the words "the", and "radio", and "reference", and "forum". (yes I know radioreference is one word - just an example!). You have to figure out which is relevant or if it even exists. But good info if you can find it.I didn't know about this Greater Cleveland info.

As far as discovering new TGIDs,the TXIDs are helpful in narrowing down where the TGIDs belong even if the agency is not defined.
