Default Avon PD Trying Out P25

I was hearing digital transmissions on Avon PD Channel 6 today on my analog scanner. I fired up my Pro106 and heard Avon PD using P25 with a NAC of 293. I don't know if this is a permanent thing, or if they are just trying out some new radios?

I'll keep you posted.

Jerry

Default Bay Vilage Police

when i use to work for a Motorola shop before i got laid off Bay Village Police use to have a P25 Digital VHF Channel it was 155.5125 P25 NAC-659 also same Frequency 155.5125 P25 NAC-811 Digital. i think one or both were Encryped you might want to plug them in your Digital scanner and see if its used? i have no more info on this and never monitored them being i'm in Parma.

Time to turn the PL tone off and pay attention (gr)

That's correct, they are also licensed for P25 (voice & data) and narrow band analog. Their license shows the following emission designators.

20K0F3E 5 kHz deviation FM "wideband 25 kHz" analog voice
11K2F3E 2.5 kHz deviation FM "narrowband 12.5 kHz" analog voice
8K10F1E (C4FM P25 Voice, typically single site)
8K10F1D (C4FM P25 Data)
4K00F1E 6.25 kHz voice NXDN (Narrow IDAS, NEXEDGE)

Looks like they are leaving their options open.
