Default Pro-95

Can anyone help me understand what I can program into my PRO-95 scanner since it is dual trunking?
I am in Southeast Ohio and I know that it will not pick up OSHP because they are using the MARCS system.
So what is it good for other than the locals that I have in it or is there anything?

That handheld scanner does NOT support narrow banding. Please go onto Radioreference.com and look up frequency data base for your area in Ohio. Perhaps someone in your area might know what frequencies to put in. I am from Lower Westchester County, NY and wanted to respond back since nobody else did yet. You did get a decent handhled scanner but it is out-dated and has no PL-CTCSS/DCS. It is also not P-25- meaning analog ONLY!

Juggalo,

There is still plenty to listen to in your area. Marietta PD/FD, Vienna PD/FD, Belpre, Williamstown, Wood County Sheriff, Washington County, railroads, river boat traffic/marine freqs, hospitals, etc.
They are analog frequencies that your scanner is capable of receiving.

While your PRO-95 does not have a narrowband setting, it will still receive these frequencies just fine!!

So simply click on the database section on RR, click on the map of Ohio, then click on your area and pick out the frequencies and program them into your scanner.

There is also a free software program fron Starrsoft that will help you program the PRO-95. Just google WIN95 and it should pop up.
Good luck!!
