Default Gallia County S/O

I saw this in the DB...I hope it is not true, that dog just aint gonna hunt!

462.65000 467.65000 RM 173.8 PL GCSO MARCS Gallia County SO patch to MARCS FM Law Dispatch

I hope that is a typo...law enforcement can get a UHF license, and I doubt the state wants a MARCS patch into a GMRS repeater....so many rules broken here.

Anyone in Gallia County, or familiar that can give input here?

I have doubts about that information as well. I have doubts about any database entry which does not show a FCC call sign. Neither the state nor the county is licensed for that frequency.

Right, since I am told MARCS is usually anti-patches, at least anything more than temporary AND this is a GMRS repeater, I highly doubt this is accurate.

However, I bumped heads with a guy from down there who was involved with the "county" let's say, some years ago who wanted to be a radio man so bad....well they wanted advice and free help from our shop and I think he wore out the welcome mat at F&L too. He had gotten radios from a government surplus sale one time and was using them on Fed frequencies....but "someone" killed that and he had to pay to have them reprogrammed. You just never know what might go on out in the woods...
