Does anyone know if there are dedicated uses for the Geauga County MARCS-IP Countywide Tactical talkgroups? For example, is 28 Tac 2 (19511) always only ever used for communications with medical helicopters?

Thanks in advance!

These talk groups are assigned by GCSO at the time of an incident. Any of them can be used as needed.

The local aero-medical helicopters have Tac-2 as the dedicated talk group to communicate with ground units, but this talk group can be used for other purposes, if necessary.

When the Fair is operating, there will be a talk group assigned for Sheriff and another assigned for Fire/EMS operations throughout the entirety.

These Tac talk groups are in all Geauga radios so that everyone can utilize them. (roads, health, building, schools, etc.) but for the most part, it is public safety.

None are dedicated to a particular use.

By policy Tac 2 is the default talkgroup to be used for aeromedical, but it does not prohibit this talkgroup from being used for other functions. If Tac 2 is busy them another tactical talkgroup will be selected.

That's what I expected to hear. Thanks guys!

Also, thanks for reversing the logic. I'm glad to have you confirm that Aeromedical can be moved to another Tac channel, in addition to Tac 2 not being solely dedicated to Aeromedical.
