Default Columbus Police & Radio Shack Pro 528

Can I use this scanner to listen to the Columbus Police? Will it be easy to program by hand or should I use the interface cable and my computer? Thanks!

The Pro 528 cannot monitor a rebanded trunked system and Franklin County Public Safety is rebanded.

And they'll be starting to migrate to P25 digital next year, so while it might sort of work for awhile, you would be out of luck in pretty short order.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the reply. No go on the Radio Shack scanner! Now I know the BCD996T will monitor the Columbus police with no problems, but will it work OK next year when these changes to P25 digital take place?.

The BCD996T is good for P25 unless they go with Phase II Audio and Tom would have to comment on thier intentions there.
