I just did an FCC search using the mall address and a 1km radius and found no results related to the mall.

I could have missed something or maybe they are not using radios that require license.

When I go out there next time I will take my receiver with me.

Digital Mobile Radio, a digital format used by an increasing number of businesses, along with another format known as NXDN.

You will need a new scanner or a sdr dongle to monitor the mall.

I would be more than happy to help you set up an sdr dongle. They are cheep and you can get them on Amazon.

Any programming tips? for 436 with DMR capability.

To get started, create a favorite list with the mall frequencies entered as conventional with mode set to Auto. Set everything else to search.

When you're scanning that list, any activity will pop up and if it's DMR, will decode and show color code/talkgroup info. You can then use any information you find to update your programming, and submit to the RR database (hint hint).

This assumes you have the DMR feature installed in your scanner.

Was just there the other day getting stuff for vacation and noticed the guards are carrying 2 radios. 1 was a xpr7550 and the other cp200xls. And she was talking on xpr the most. So think that helps. As far as frequency, not sure.
