I will submit that one to the database as another site.

The others just seem to be mobile relays.

Latest news on Fairfield County Sheriff:
I heard today from a very reliable source that FCS is dropping DRM and going with a MEC system. That's all I know for now. I don't know if that will still be the January 1 changeover to digital or not. Seems like too short a time to change everything over.

Last week I was told FCSO is indeed switching to a MARCS system. I don't see how all the radios can be changed out by January 1, but I was told that's still the target date.

Hmmmm I agree. That timeline seems a bit rushed. I would be shocked if it could be done in a couple months given every police car mobile radio and every portable radio at all departments has to be swapped plus dispatch has to have the radio consoles installed too. Be surprised if it does in 6 months.

I agree. I believe the radio purchases were just approved a month ago.
They were supposed to stop all analog service January 1. I imagine that will still happen.

Yeah I bet you're right. I bet it goes digital until the switch.

Default Fairfield County MARCS is a Go

Looks like the switch over to MARCS for Fairfield County Sheriff is under way. There is training scheduled later this month (February). Unconfirmed that an additional tower site is needed around Baltimore.

Default Fairfield County Sheriff Radio

My opinion... ONLY MY GUESS WITH NO SUPPORTING EVIDENCE ... is there will be a Fairfield County MECC setup covering fire, police, sheriff dispatched from one location.

Yes, and I had to ditch my old scanner in favor of a new one. Trying to program it now.

Ran HP-2 discovery on Lancaster MARCS site all night, nothing but a couple short test counts on 16501 & 16503.

Just caught a Fairfield Co. dispatcher talking to a Lithopolis unit on MARCS Interop TG 54542, base only.
