Hi guys. Just moved here. Living in a "cave" of sorts around all the "Scioto" streets.

Looking for unknown frequencies. Fishing around, I have found the four Tuttle Crossing channels (listening during that recent evacuation was interesting), Walmart (duh), whatever that odd trucker facility is close by, and the Target on Trueman. (I have not had opportunity to fish the Target on Hilliard Rome as yet.)

Have I missed any? Business frequencies? Also I was wondering if there was a rail or aviation freq or two? (I have all the Columbus aviation programmed in.) As I just moved here, I don't even know if any rails come through here?

Just curious what other local scanner sniffers have found here. :)

Unfortunately most of those were used for yard functions at Buckeye Yard, which is no longer in operation, except for the CSX Van Yard.

The ones still in use are:

160.980: NS Dayton District road/dispatcher
160.860: CSX Scottslawn Secondary road
160.485: CSX Scottslawn Secondary dispatcher

I think they use either 160.740 or 160.800 for switching in the Van Yard; they started out using 160.485 but also used it for the IF Dispatcher (before it was combined with the IE desk), and it's supposedly not used in the Van Yard any more.

NS is still building some trains at buckeye. The 169 comes to mind. 161.190 the NS Columbus and Sandusky Line dispatcher come in on my handheld when I'm in Hilliard.

I also hail from Hilliard.

CSX van site is still 160.800/AAR 46 Pacer Rail uses 161.385/AAR 85 at Buckeye. Renzenberger cabs talk on 160.920/AAR 54 and not so much on the road channels anymore plus seems to be a switching channel around Buckeye and Rickenbacker for NS. The Watkins yardmaster and Dayton dispatcher now have channel 54 capability too. Camp Chase uses 161.04/AAR 62.

Could you submit that through the Ohio Railroad page? I'll make sure the database is updated.

Update: Scratch that, I went ahead and added the information.

If you want some comedy try COGV Cab. They treat some callers like crap but its pretty funny to listen to. I do have to agree about the woman at Orange cab, shes the only one like that though.

I did anyway but that was before I saw your updated post. Sorry about the duplicate submission.

K what about EMS? Looking in the database, I see Hilliard police but no fire or EMS? Am I missing something or does the EMS come from elsewhere?
