Kind of ironic you didn't realise that given your profile pic.

I have programmed and used encryption on various two-way radios, and I can't recall ever seeing it referred to as "ENC." I believe scanners use this terminology? It is confusing/misleading because it is not an acronym, yet it is almost always written using ALL CAPS.

OHIOSCAN--thanks for the information. The reason I was confused was because you also listed additional information like "BASE" and "BUS 43" that one would normally not be able to determine without listening to the radio traffic. I know Nexedge radios have a text ID field that can be transmitted along with the regular numeric unit ID. Is that where you are getting this information?

Not to hard $20 RTL Stick along with DSD+ & SDRSHARP w/DSD plug-in. There are some very good video's on youtube that are worth watching to get you going.

This channel has some great tutorials

this seems interesting, and inexpensive, but has anyone made the jump from hand tuning a channel to following a trunked system?

Fwiw-420.0375 is out of the band. The allocation starts at 422.000 up to, but not including, 430.
