P25 Control Channel BCD996T

Forgive me if I have missed this searching the other threads,

I am trying to program a BCD996T with a MARCS site, but I can't get it to program Control-Channel Only Mode.

Reading page 81 of owners manual it says

"Setting Control-Channel Only Mode M (except for P25)"

Does this mean Control-Channel Only Mode is not available on the 996?

P25 systems always use control-channel only mode, so there is no need for a setting. However, MARCS is not a P25 system. It is a Motorola Type 2 system with APCO-25 voice channels. The sites should be programmed as Motorola Type II/800.

It is crazy how terms or slang for terms can cause such confusion (especially before a sufficient amount of coffee).

Now that you say that, I do remember reading the P25 vs. APCO 25 topic before.
